94th Academy Awards Year In Advance Predictions

The 93rd Academy Awards have come and gone and if you thought I would be taking a break from the awards season, you are quite wrong! The time has come for my year in advance Best Picture predictions for the 94th Academy Awards. Last year, I unfortunately only correctly predicted two of the 10 predicted nominees, Mank & The Trial of the Chicago 7.

This year offers a slew of potential Best Picture candidates and with a straight 10 nominees, it should lead to a fun Oscar race. I will be running through my projected winner along with 9 nominees and 5 films in the hunt for a total of 15 films.

  1. Being The Ricardos (Amazon Studios)
  2. House of Gucci ( United Artists)
  3. Soggy Bottom (United Artists)
  4. In The Heights ( Warner Bros.)
  5. The French Dispatch (Searchlight Pictures)
  6. Don’t Look Up (Netflix)
  7. Canterbury Glass (20th Century Studios)
  8. Nightmare Alley (Searchlight Pictures)
  9. West Side Story (20th Century Studios)
  10. Dune (Warner Bros.)

In The Hunt:

  1. The Many Saints of Newark (Warner Bros)
  2. Apollo 10 1/2: A Space-Age Adventure (Netflix)
  3. Coda (Apple TV+)
  4. Next Goal Wins (Searchlight Pictures)
  5. Spencer (NEON)
